Counseling

Please note that these resources are not for crisis or emergency situations. If you or someone you know is in an emergency crisis and may be a danger to self or others, call 911 immediately.

Current CIIS students are entitled to eight counseling sessions per year to support their emotional and mental health. To set up an individual counseling appointment, please email counseling@ciis.edu and you will receive a response within 2 business days. 

CIIS also recommends the following resources for students in any program:

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient discipline that confers physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance and health. To discover these well-established benefits or expand your practice, we invite you to join one or more of our weekly yoga offerings, whether on campus or via Zoom. Schedules and any updates are available on CIIS Connect.

Wellness Coaching

Wellness Coaching, a resource offered through the CIIS Wellness Center, is committed to providing support, partnership, and accountability to help students reach their health and well being goals.

Wellness Coaching is a client-centered partnership. Together, we provide space to create a wellness vision, develop resources to support wellness and build autonomy, and design an individualized plan so that goals can be accomplished.

Wellness Coaching will meet you where you are: if you know your wellness goals, if you are not sure where to start, or if you are somewhere in the middle, we can be a resource for you.

Get help with goals related to:

  • Time management
  • Mindfulness
  • Nutrition
  • Movement
  • Risky substances

To schedule an appointment, please follow these steps:

  1. Read and sign the Wellness Coaching Program Participation Agreement
  2. Fill out the intake form and upload the signed agreement
  3. Wait for a reply from the Wellness Coaching Coordinator
