6-Hour Online Workshop

Trauma experiences live in our bodies' memories and shape our outlook. Unresolved trauma can range from feeling disconnected to avoidant and agitated, creating limiting internalized beliefs that impact our relationships.

Tending to one’s innate body wisdom is essential both for personal well-being and for sustaining the complexity of trauma recovery. The healing journey from trauma is multidimensional, as it touches the individual, collective, and historical experience. Learning how we have been shaped by the various trauma systems somatically is a critical component to self-healing. We can meet this complexity by allying with our own nervous system through the moving-sensing non-verbal realm.

Join somatic trauma psychotherapist, Manuela Mischke-Reeds for an experiential workshop on developing safe somatic resilience protocols necessary on your own healing path as well as for those who might be working with others in any healing capacity. Through the active engagement of our moving, sensing, feeling body we discover how innate somatic intelligence enables us to regulate and develop our internal nervous system into deep resources. This connection allows for access to both the creative and the somatic knowledge within each of us, so that we can examine self judgement, shame, and release negative self-beliefs.

This one-day workshop is an immersive experiential journey with structured guided mindful embodied practices, intrinsic movement explorations, and self-reflection inquiries into what heals the complexity of trauma. The day will be structured as a series of experiential exercises and short didactic teachings to inspire you to connect with the innate somatic intelligence within you.

This workshop requires comfort with experiential practices, thorough mindful movement and breathing practices, self-reflection exercises, and short, small group sharing. Learn how we understand trauma in our world through the intersection of inner and outer systems that affect and shape our collective and personal experiences. Discover how to apply the innate somatic intelligence connections as the basis for healing trauma and learn somatic practices that explore the innate intelligence of the nervous system as a ground for regulation in your trauma healing.

This training benefits anyone that wants to learn somatic practices, though to aid their healing process it is suited for psychotherapists, counselors, interns, health practitioners, trauma coaches, and others who want to learn precise techniques for healing trauma and maintaining their own sense of health and well-being when working with trauma.
