The contemplative traditions of South and East Asia can play a significant role in restoring meaning and wholeness for the modern world, as well as diasporic Asians seeking deep connections with their roots.
CIIS’ Master of Arts in Asian Contemplative and Transcultural Studies provides a firm grounding in these traditions over the course of a two-year program. This degree is fully online and consists of 36 units of coursework, including electives that allow each student to delve into the areas that most resonate with them. The concentration also offers a certificate in Yoga Studies for interested students.
Graduates are well prepared to serve as practitioners and thought leaders, going on to work as educators, counselors, coaches, activists, artists, and consultants.
