Additional Information
Benicia Unified School District (BUSD) is a small K – 12 public school district. Trainees work intimately with other mental health professionals and educators in providing a developmentally diverse population of students psychological services at the primary and secondary tier of intervention (i.e., primary and secondary pre-referral consultation or drop-ins and counseling). Trainees gain direct experience offering an eclectic set of clinical skills which facilitates their own professional growth while simultaneously allowing the district to advance its system-wide mental health initiatives. Trainees are supervised by a CA Licensed Psychologist. In-service training is presented on a wide range of topics targeting a vast array of therapist skills such as progress monitoring, note-taking, and consultation, along with various therapeutic approaches such as CBT and DBT for individuals and groups.
