Method Bodywork: Accessing the Unconscious Through the Body
Marion Rosen and Sara Webb
Self-awareness can change fixed attitudes, and touch can
become an avenue for discovery. In this workshop participants
will learn the basic tenets and practice of Rosen Method bodywork,
specifically how to interpret the meaning of muscle tension
and to support the release of that tension through gentle
touch. They will discover how muscle tension, breath, and
body postures interface with emotion. In the process, they
will explore areas of body wisdom that are hidden from conscious
awareness. Workshop participants will develop greater sensitivity
in their touch and increase their ability to see subtle changes
in the breath that indicate when a person is speaking the
truth or experiencing an old memory.
This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Rosen
Method of bodywork from its founder, Marion Rosen, who has
a unique and remarkable ability to decipher the meaning of
body language and an unusual capacity to see through the outer
layers of a person and into the innermost workings of the
human heart.

and Europe.

Rosen’s first student in 1972 and is now
her close colleague. She is the executive director
