I am excited to introduce CIIS Public Programs’ new yearlong Sound, Voice, and Music Healing Certificate program. Public Programs is launching this innovative program in response to the ever-growing need for and interest in the healing modalities of sound, voice and music.  Now, more than ever, the complexity of health care in the United States demands the powerful fusion of Eastern and Western healing philosophies.

CIIS Public Programs’ Sound, Voice, and Music Healing Certificate is the first of its kind to be offered by an accredited academic institution. The unique program provides an intercultural and integral study of the use of sound, voice, and music as healing modalities. It also offers a solid foundation in scientific research, spiritual wisdom traditions, and experiential skills development—which can support therapeutic and growth processes—and inspires and promotes personal transformation as well.

The program is the brainchild of Silvia Nakkach, a pioneer in the field of sound and the transformation of consciousness. It is born equally of her passion and vocation, the fruit of a quarter-century clinical and scholarly journey into the healing power of sound, music, and devotional singing. Working in close collaboration with Silvia, CIIS Public Programs has brought together leading and senior teachers of the highest caliber from the fields of sound, voice, and music healing, and created a curriculum that balances both the spiritual and clinical dimensions of sound healing.
