Gerald Huth has been on
a journey of art and exploration for 35
years. Born in New York City, he studied
art and architecture at the University of
Pennsylvania, continuing his studies at
the École des Beaux-Arts d’Avignon
(France) and the Art Students League of
New York. His work is in the Brooklyn Museum
of New York, the Vassar College Art Gallery,
San Francisco State University, and in many
public and private collections throughout
the world. Huth, who has traveled in more
than 40 countries and speaks several languages,
has exhibited extensively in the United
States, Europe, and Australia. Cultures
and Civilizations follows the artist’s
journeys and explores the influence that
the arts of other peoples, past and present,
have had on his work. The exhibit reveals
his strong belief that across the centuries
much has been left to teach and inspire
contemporary artists in their own efforts
at human expression.
