Halla Ayla is an Iraqi American photographic artist born in Baghdad and raised in Iraq, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia. Through her vibrant images, which combine photography with hand coloring, painting, and collage, she shares her personal experience with and appreciation for the Arab world—its people, cultures, and art—and strives to create cultural bridges between East and West. Arab World Unveiled is the second exhibit in a seven-part series by Ayla, a photographer with more than 25 years of experience. The series captures scenes from daily life in several Arab countries, including Morocco, Egypt, and Jordan, and illuminates the unique beauty and rich history of these ancient lands.
