Laura Pustarfi Headshot

Laura Pustarfi, is Director of the Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research Certificate Program (soon Executive Director of Certificates and Continuing Education) and a lecturer in Philosophy and Religion at CIIS. Her scholarly interests include plant studies, psychedelic philosophy, and environmental humanities. She is co-editor with Dr. David Macauley of The Wisdom of Trees: Thinking Through Arboreality. Laura has presented at several conferences on both plant studies and psychedelic-assisted therapy nationally and internationally.

Mariavittoria (Maria) Mangini, Integral and Transpersonal Psychology Adjunct Professor and CPTR teacher

Maria Mangini, Ph.D., FNP, completed her doctorate in Community Health Nursing at University of California, San Francisco, where her research on drugs and drug policy explored the impact of historic LSD use in the lives of middle-aged adults. She was the director of the MSN/FNP program at Holy Names University in Oakland for 20 years. For 25 years, she was in family practice with Frank Lucido MD, and theirs was one of the first to add medical cannabis to the family practice armamentarium. She is co-founder of the Women's Visionary Council, which supports the work of women scholars, artists, healers, and visionaries through a series of conferences, workshops, and grants. Her interests currently center on the study of death and dying.

Headshot of Rev. Dr. Brian Rajcok

The Rev. Dr. Brian Rajcok is pastor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Avon, Connecticut. He earned a Bachelors in Theology from Valparaiso University and a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary. He earned his PhD in clinical mental health counseling from Neumann University where he wrote his dissertation titled The lived experience of professional mental health clinicians with spiritually significant psychedelic experiences. Brian is a graduate of the CIIS CPTR 2022 Boston cohort. Brian views psychedelics as a potential tool for healing and spiritual growth. He has a passion for mysticism, the study of consciousness, world religions, and the relationship between science and spirituality.
